MU Gear
« on: March 25, 2024, 10:39:12 AM »
Trying to get some Marquette swag for my traveling party that's going to Dallas this weekend. I may just do a trip up to the spirit shop, but wondering if anyone knows any online retailers that have fast shipping on MU gear. Figure there's no way the spirit shop could get anything to me fast enough. Wasn't sure if Fanatics or another site is any faster. Thanks.

I have found Fanatics delivery time to horrible. You absolutely cannot trust the date they tell you that your stuff will be delivered.

The online Spirit shop is run by a 3rd party, I believe. But you can call the brick and mortar Spirit Shop in the AMU and they can ship.
Have some patience, FFS.

Corrected. Thank you, ladies and gents. Spirit Shop is receiving a high volume of calls but I ordered online and paid for the expedited 1-2 business day shipping. Fingers crossed!

Love the Peter Millar gear. I'm dying to get MU stuff on the Johnnie-O website. We really could do a better job with licensing and product availability. Still kicking myself for not buying more of the Jordan branded team gear at the start of the season. Once that stuff is gone it never comes back in stock.

$130 is a lot of money for a white polo that's going to have beer and Real Chili spilled on it during its first wearing.

Let's not forget the mustard.  No matter how hard I try and how careful I am, there is always a mustard spot. It's why I only wear gold.

I saw that spot on Hurley yesterday where his wife transports a portable washing machine on the road to wash his lucky Red Dragon underwear. wtf?

I do admit to wearing red grundies when MU plays the Badgers.

100% agree....I've recently visited campus bookstores/apparel shops at several other colleges including Ohio State & Xavier

They have really nice deals with higher-end brands such as Johnny O, Vineyard Vines, Lululemon, Tommy Bahama, etc

No idea why MU doesn't offer similar brands for alumni & fans....

It is gradually getting better but I still struggle to find good MU stuff online.  Homefield has some pretty cool designs in my view: https://www.homefieldapparel.com/collections/vintage-marquette-golden-eagles-store

Many years ago when one of my nephews was born, my brother, working in the Lansing area, bought a Michigan State outfit for the newborn. Our BIL is a big Michigan fan and he knew perfectly well that this was not an innocent case of my brother being confused about which Michigan school was our BIL's alma mater.

Our BIL had the last laugh. "Oh, we'll put it on him. But without diapers."

One of P. T. Barnum's most memorable quotes come to mind.

I got a Peter Millar polo from my son (with his company's logo on the sleeve). Admittedly, it's an absolutely beautiful shirt. But, no way in hell I'd pay for one.

They're just a well made sweatshirt with a tiny logo sew on.

Incredibly boring.  If you're going to be a fan, be a fan.

also does he not trust a dry cleaner or hotel laundry. i have so many questions.

I’ve seen quite a few teams wearing the same warmup in selection show and during the tournament. I think they’re team exclusives for the tournament.

Those aren't exact.

If you go on eBay you can get actual unused team issued shorts for cheaper.
