Big game for a few reasons:

Unless Nova beats Creighton MU needs a win to avoid the 4 seed in the BET.

A loss would be a blow to MU’s hope for a 2 seed in the NCAA.

MU needs a win to show that they can win a game without Kolek.

Not a major issue, but it would be nice to get second place (even if a tie) in the final conference standings.

I don’t think any of this is true

The first one is a fact unless you consider DePaul winning at Seton Hall to be a possibility.

The other 3 are my opinions.

Can still get the tie for second.

BET seeding is for that purpose only.

MU simply has to win. Not getting any help.

The line opened at MU -2.5.  It’s now at 3.5 in favor of Marquette.

it actually opened at MU -1.5

I believe there are tiebreakers that separate the teams assuming we win today.

Need a win for the 3 seed and a possible semi matchup with Creighton in the BET which I think we win.

MU badly needs the win.

Creighton is now the 2 seed.  Even though the last 2 have been very difficult games v excellent teams… going into
BET w / 3 losses and possible 1st round BET game v St Johns is NOT good

I’d like to win, but it really doesn’t matter much,

In terms of big dance, probably doesn’t matter a whole lot. But it matters a ton for BET seeding, avoiding UCONN until the BET champ and avoiding the dreaded Thursday afternoon game next week.
I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

Need a win… hopefully we play loose and confidently.   Hit the 3s.  Ben will hit 3 today!  Cam will hit one with first MU shot if the game. lol

Go Marquette!

At the game. MU has no energy. Lethargic on offense. They better wake up soon.
