He is an extremely well grounded person based upon his speech. I would be interested to learn more about the individual he mentioned in regards to study hall. If MU is recruiting a player from Madison, Wes is your go to guy. Nice to hear him talk about how much Jerel pushed him. If his daughter plays basketball, sign her up now!

I remember hearing he was always the one to show recruits around. I thought the induction ceremony brunch was a very well done event.

Congrats to Wes...one of my all-time favorite Marquette guys. I was curious about his career earnings and checked and saw it was $116 million (give or take) which made me smile. He's had a hell of a career for a kid that didn't get drafted.
Never wrestle with a pig.  You both get dirty, and the pig likes it.

Read that he is the all time leader in 3 pointers made by an undrafted player.

Outstanding speech. Truly amazing to watch Wes's career arc.

Favorite part of the speech was when he talked about Jerel and how relentless he was. I remember going to see Jerel and Acker's high school team play once Jerel had committed to MU. That aggressiveness and toughness was so apparent I couldn't wait to see him at MU. He still exceeded expectations. One of my all time favorites, as was that whole three amigos era. They had to be a nightmare to play against and just never backed down. James' foot injury was such a shame. Would have loved to see how far they could have gone at full strength.

Even that undersells it, he's tied for 24th all time in 3 pointers made with Kobe Bryant with 1827, Just like 10 or so behind Chauncey Billups and Buddy Hield. above Peja and Carmelo Anthony, among others.
