Great is an overstatement.  He plays decent D but lost his man late and fouled so great is hyberbole.

Stevie did play a great game today, but you are right he did lose Jenkins on the put back follow when a pretty simple box out would have nullified that basket.  But, that aside I think Stevie gets stud of this game

We beat a Rick Pitino coached team today on the road . Great effort .

He lost his man at least 5-6 times in the second half alone.

He plays decent defense compared to how he used to.

Yes, this is true about Jop.  But at least he hit some clutch 3's to offset the defensive lapses.

I have to think the lack of depth really hurt MU today. That last 7 minutes after the 13 point lead was as ugly as it gets. Not much but turnovers, leaky defense, and missed FTs.

Fatigue might have been a factor.

So entertaining reading posts from our resident 2 year old on Scoop!  A solid 50 (stupid/obsessive) post day for PGsHeroes32 in the game thread today.  Such little emotional fortitude.  And absolutely rich/ironic commentary.

You prove daily that you cant fix stupid and obssessive. Zaides fam might need a restraining order soon

This is fu cking mental

This is nuts
We just abandoned what was working. Shaka didnt even draw it up out of TO.

The starters were gassed at the end which may have contributed to Stevie’s lapses.

Exactly. This is why starters can't play the entire game like people suggested.

I don’t recall a season where there has been such a remarkable change in a team from one part of the season to another.  I think the thoughts of MU being a better team are clouded by having the knowledge of how this team can play.  It really isn’t that team any more. I hope at some point the team that started the season returns but no, at this point, MU is not a better team
The season the letter was written comes to mind

The game threads get more bizarre every game. Many make as much sense as my wife walking away from the TV because “she brings them bad luck”. Her idiotic take might even be more insightful than some on here.

Your wife’s walking away is completely rational, I’ve been known to do the same. To this day I won’t stand towards the end unless we are really out of danger, because once years ago I did and we blew the game….

She may be right. I have to step up and take responsibility for the close call, because I forgot to wear my lucky game day socks.

Stay away from them during the game.   Go back and read them for the comedy after wins.   Non stop hilarity.

My wife....'wait a minute.  Marquette just went an entire half without making a 3 or a free throw and is still in the game?   Wow.'

One of many reasons I love her.

My wife has been a very good MU for the 39 years we have been together but is struggling this season. She thinks “if they are that good, why do they miss every shot?” or “why can’t they go on 15-0 runs all of the time if they are that good?”.

She falls into the camp that thought MU would roll every game this season. That camp is bigger than I thought and sorry they are disappointed.

I've tried to control myself better this year. Our cat Casey went running out of the room several times last year, but this year sometimes he sits in my lap and watches the game.
