My point is that there are many in the game thread stating that Stevie and Sean simply should not be allowed to shoot the ball.  Today shows why that philosophy in general is a poor one.

And the ultimate green light for mediocre to bad shooters can be a death sentence on the road.

Works at home when the crowd can keep the team engaged, but if all things are equal and today we're on the road, I don't see the same comeback happening.

I think that when you're playing at home in front of a high energy supportive crowd, it's easier to overcome possession killing 3 point misses by bad shooters.

Need to play smarter and tighter on the road to win. So in my mind, yes I don't think bad shooters should make a habit of taking 3s on the road.

I agree for the most part. I do think having an experienced team makes a difference. This team hopefully has seen it all and should feel confident at home or away. These guys hung around for a reason and they should let it fly.

A great day with the family and cocktails were enjoyed. Truth be told, we are still chalk talking  and enjoying a long postgame.

My wife, daughter and I watched the game together. Later, we went out with my son-in-law, his brother and the brother's wife. The latter 3 could give 2 shytes about Marquette basketball (or any basketball), but that didn't stop my wife, daughter and I from reliving the best from this game. Kolek 'em if they didn't like all the MU hoops talk!

By "if it's their best option," I mean as long as they don't have someone wide open under the basket or something similar.

But my larger point is that there are a number of Scoopers who say that Sean and Steve shouldn't be allowed to shoot. That's just dumb. Everyone on the court should be allowed to shoot "their shot." The last thing anyone wants is for players to hesitate or think too much out there.

I have never once said that Stevie or Sean shouldn't be allowed to shoot. I will admit to saying, "Nooo!" the first couple times each rose up to shoot today. Eventually it became the ol' "Nooo! ... Yes!"
