Hopefully the UConn 15 point loss gives some of our crazier fans some perspective.

Yes, there are a number of valid concerns for Marquette but some of the takes the last 24 hours have been wild.

You're an embarrassing idiot with an inferiority complex due to your micro phallis and it causes you to lash out and act like a 12 year old.

Do the "crazier fans" include the ones who predicted MU to lose 2 or fewer games in the Big East and pull out the COLE label on anyone who expects them to lose more than that?

I can think of maybe one poster who predicted an 18-2 Big East record and he's one of the more knowledgeable ones here. That's no match for the typical overreactions after an ugly loss.

Do you count coming on to call people names and make mature comments about the size of their penis in the overreaction category?   We all handle our disappointment and frustration in various ways.  Some criticize the team.  Some choose to have the maturity of a middle school boy.  We all know which path you follow when disappointed and frustrated.

we will see who the real men are and i just don't mean the players.  i mean some of the so called "fans" here on the board.  ya'll know who you are.  it's fair to criticize.  there is a difference between criticism and being dumb fair weather fans.  there are some on here i've never seen before...or only when something not so good occurs

I accept scoop to be scoop... but this is the one thing that drives me nuts.  This board is unreadable after many L's because of all the Scoop-roaches that come crawling out as if we just turned off the lights in a dirty motel room.  You never see them when the lights are on, but one loss and suddenly they blow up the board like it's the end of the world.

It's insufferable at times, and takes away any interesting criticism/dissection of the loss that could be had.

Decrying name calling and accusing others of acting like 12 year olds while name calling and like a 12 year old is so ironic it is almost meta.

I noticed that UConn shot 4-21 from 3 in their road loss to Seton Hall.   Should they...
Fire Hurley?
Scrap their offensive philosophy?
Only let certain people shoot?
Completely scramble their rotations?
Assume the 2-6 stretch from last year is back and is their new normal?
Predict a 9 loss conference season?

It's better to just stay away from the scoop meltdowns after a loss.

Didn't they lose Clingan during the game?  Think that made a difference?

In their 3 point shooting percentage? Probably not.

It did.  They were already losing when he went out and it snowballed after that.

You didn't answer the question.   What should UConn do about shooting 4-21 from 3?

And why leave scoop after a loss?   That is when character is revealed.

I mean if we are gonna run comparisons can they at least be somewhat comparable??

Cam Spencer had an off night. Sean Jones cant shoot any night.

Like cmon.

Glorious.    Well done.   The comparison was for specific games where the two perceived Big East frontrunners shot poorly and similarly from 3.  Your scoopy comment was to defend UConn and tear down an MU player.   Quintessential scoop.

I watched the second half. Samson Johnson (backup to Clingan) had hands of stone and he can't shoot the ball unless its a dunk. Karaban was atrocious as well. Just goes to show you that any team can be beaten on any night.  And its not like Seton Hall has a massive home court advantage like PC does.

No it was to prove a point that you are shifting goal posts subjectively. People have acted rash about a lot of things mostly some implying that we all of a sudden are lucky to win 11 BE games. But the notion that most of our non top 3 players shouldnt have auto green lights, its nuts. The numbers dont lie. And comparing them to a off night for Cam Spencer is flat out incompetent.

You said that because Uconn went 4/21 ONE GAME that Uconn should have players not shoot anymore.

MU has guys who havent shot all year. Thats just fact.

But yeah I guess if we are going to use insane logic then I guess over the weekend when Steph Curry went 0/8 from 3 that means no player in the NBA should ever shoot 3s again because Steph couldnt make them.

You're missing his point completely.  Kam, Joplin, and Ross went 1 - 11 from 3.  Not sure what Sean Jones has do with the point Tower is making.

He's completley right in that you're making excuses for UConn that you didn't make for Marquette in spite of a very similar performance on the road.

UConn 100-303 from 3 for the season.
MU 100-304 from 3 for the season.

16 (13.8%) of the posters who voted in the poll on this site predicted 0-2 losses.

I don't understand why you or anyone else cares if people express their opinions even if you think they are over the top negative. If you don't like them just roll your eyes and move on.

I don't understand why you or anyone else cares when I or anyone else disagree with those over-the-top negative opinions.  It is a public message board, after all.  If you don't like it just roll your eyes and move on.
