Nah, that can't be it.   Conference road games are a beeyotch for other teams.  When MU loses, it is 100% due to MU's inadequacies.

No one said otherwise. That being said MU played like dog shite last night.

It was more about what Providence did than what MU failed to do.

Like it is more about Seton Hall tonight.

I would say it was more 60/40 with our dumbfounding ineptitude being the 60.

No one said otherwise. That being said MU played like dog crape last night.

Actually, lots of people said things suggesting that the great, great, great UConn Huskies would never get killed in a Big East road game the way bumbling, stumbling Marquette did last night.

And seriously, we've been hearing nothing but heaps of praise for UConn all season - and rightly so. But I'll still take Marquette in Milwaukee or on a neutral court if both are playing well.

It's really pretty funny that one day after our unforgivable Sh1t show, UConn got crushed by Seton Hall - a team very few observers would say is anywhere near as good as Providence.

Or maybe now Scoop thinks UConn sucks and is badly flawed, too?

Bottom line: Even very good Big East teams need to be on their game when they go on the road -- with the possible of exception of trips to DePaul and Georgetown.

A number of people on the web "couldn't see more than 2 losses" from UCONN in the Big East. Well, here's one.

BE on the road is a bitch.

If by a bitch you mean a 60% win rate for the home team year after year

Well, yeah.  Because DePaul, Georgetown, Minnesota, and Notre Dame all play home games, too.

Let's not forget that Clingan didn't play the final 16 minutes after getting hurt.  I'm glad they lost, but there's no comparison between this and our crapfest last nite.

Hopefully the UConn 15 point loss gives some of our crazier fans some perspective.

Yes, there are a number of valid concerns for Marquette but some of the takes the last 24 hours have been wild.

Sure there is. The comparison is that it counts as 1 loss. No more, no less.

MU was missing a starter.   Muggsy said 60-40 MU.   I say 85-15 Providence.   Always the aggressor.

Yours is a vain hope, VBMG.

I told my sons that I gave MU you a 60-40 chance to win last night. Winning on the road, especially at PU, Creighton and nova is very tough. MU stunk last night so no silver linings, but I would expect 16-4 or 15-5 to win the BE this year.

Yeah, you're probably right. One can always hope for a Scoop Christmas miracle. 🎅
