Hopefully they didn't peak in Honolulu

That's not December so...

It's hard to reconcile this sentiment with the thinking that getting the highest seed possible significantly increases the chances of having success in the NCAA.

The team doesn't necessarily have to peak in December, but taking too many double digit losses is going to affect that seed.

I think the team has already peaked. As the season goes on pressure defense has less effect on teams. MU will not be able to solve their rebounding issue. The only chance to improve is Shaka changing the offense. It was very discouraging last night as MU seemed determined to take the ball inside against a strong interior defensive team. The game reminded me so much of the game against Wisconsin. Last year we relied on kicking the ball out for threes, which opened up the middle. We seem to have abandon that philosophy. Everyone is trying to take the ball to the basket with very little success.

Teams returning this much scoring have a real advantage early in the season.  While all well coached teams improve its more likely that less experienced teams will improve more.  Providence was fired up to play the #6 team.  They played with great energy.  Got to get used to being the hunted.

Usually true, though last year a 4, 5, 8 and 9 made the FF. A 4 seed not only won it but dominated - all 6 games double digit wins. So how you're playing and what your ceiling is matters more than anything.

Lots of negativity over three losses.   2 were bad losses, but this is still a good team.  Let's see how the next few games go.   Every Big East game that we can win will be a big win - it is a tough conference, and there is a big difference between being the hunter versus the hunted - and our guys need that hunter chip on their shoulder again.

Of course you do, Eeyore.
