This team is going to lose anywhere from 5-8 Big East games.

It is what it is. Repeating last years 17-3 + 3 more at MSG was never going to happen.

That isn't what matters. Getting better every day and positioning yourself to win a Championship is what matters.

Marquette has the talent to beat anyone and in March you only play 2 games each weekend. Get hot at the right time and stay hot.

MU doesn't even have the talent to reach the Sweet 16.

Meh wouldn't shock me if they went unbeaten at home this year. They seem to play like a legit top 5 team there. Also you could argue this game was like the 3rd toughest game we'll play in the big east. It s massively deflating to start the con season off like this though no doubt

5 losses looks like the ceiling right now...

9 might be the floor

could possibly be:

2 providence
2 uconn
2 creighton
1 @ butler
1 @ St Johns
1 @ Villanova

i see us losing to those teams too, but a split with Prov and Creighton. UConn? sweep (hence, 7 conf L's)...but I think UConn only has a single loss, no more than two, in conf play.

Pomeroy now projects 13-7.

I picked that in our preseason projections.

20-11 Overall, 13-7 Conference.

I picked Final Four though because I believe in this teams ceiling and reaching their ceiling in March is what matters most for this season.

I have been in the 13-7 camp from the beginning. We have a strong conference

This looks even less good now.

They're no better than last year's UConn team, which suffered through a 2-6 stretch. It doesn't mean they'll go through another 2-6 stretch, but it could happen. Starting things off with a loss at Seton Hall no doubt has many a HuskyScoopers gouging out their eyes.
