Rebounding and hitting our threes will be the keys to the game.   UCLA has two 7 footers?   They are tough inside- could be fouls trouble for us - and block shots … so we need our A game for sure and from multiple players.  Let’s Gooo Marquette!

Not to get ahead of myself here. But if we survive UCLA tonight, what time is the Kansas game tomorrow CST?

NO!!!!   it’s one game at a time for scoopers.   Follow the rules, quit ruining the vibe.

Am I the only one who thinks the black three point line is screwing some guys up? It seems like there are a number of shots where guys very specifically position themselves right behind the black line -- with some even shuffling their feet to make sure they are just behind the line. But in actuality, they're 1.5 inches behind the line.

No you are not. There were quite a few out of bounds calls on shooters in the corner. They were stepping back too far because they thought the black line was the 3 pt line.

To be honest, I don't recall this being an issue at all.  I do think that players are used to the further line being the men's college line, but I don't think it's that big of a deal.

I thought that the announcers said something about how they made this floor for the event. Why make a floor for the Maui Invitational that includes an NBA 3-pt line?

Maybe I misheard.

What's insane about the next two days is that no matter what 1 team ranked in the top 7 right now is going to lose two in a row. All four of these teams are vying for 1 seeds come selection Sunday. Having head to head wins over them would be massive for our 1 seed case.

Howard - Right …

I hope MU can win tonight ( doubtful) , but if they at least win one of next two they have another great win on their resume

I thought there was one year Paint Touches showed our 3 point shooting drastically reduced when there was multiple 3 point lines. I saw a few times it looked like our guys stepped behind the NBA line before shooting.

It would mean a lot Howard but seeding comes down to the entire body of work.  There's so much that can happen between now and tournament time.

Consolation bracket game is Gonzaga and Syracuse.    How many tournaments would like that as their final?

Oh....I didn't realize we play either at noon or 9:30 am Central tomorrow.  I can't recall them doing this before, seems odd.  Glad I'm flying out to Chi TG morning.
