Drake, with their transfer center from Seton Hall, is in.

Wild game.  Patriot League semi came down to the wire, too, with Colgate hanging on.

A-Sun final coming down to the wire.
Don't want MU to face any of these teams, period!

Brendan Bailey was in the same freshman class as him. Forgot that name.

Was Hoping Robbie Avila of Indian State could have made the tournament. Would have been a fun story.

Depends how many spots we have open. If only one, I think we could do better. I think Hepburn is a fit here but also could probably do better there as well.

It's interesting Essegian didn't play in a game where Wisky couldn't make a three.  I can't see Hepburn leaving or interested in MU.  I tend to agree we could do better but Essegian at one point could shoot.  That said I think I would just stick with our guys.

I don't think Essegian plays defense at the level Shaka wants.  Defense is a big reason why Essegian fell out of favor with Gard in the first place.

My hunch is that Essegian stays in the B1G.  Nebraska, Iowa, and Indiana are some teams I'd expect to be interested in him.

Nope.  He’s buried because of his defense and he hasn’t been particularly good shooting this year either.  He’s 29% from 3.

FWIW, I think he had some nagging, early season injuries and just never found a spot or rhythm again

Pretty interesting answer from Pitino on the state of CBB.

Of course he could...but that doesn't change the state of College Hoops.

In sort of paraphrasing his comment here, have the players be employees and sign them to 2,3 or4 year contracts (with a non compete clause) with an out if entering the NBA draft. Div 1 would obviously be different and much smaller. Writing is on the wall, especially given court activity?
