Oklahoma losing at home to Cincy.

A loss would be their 5th in the last 6, road game at Texas left.

A loss there and that’s a 19-12, 7-11 team that’s been tumbling in the brackets…

Porter better figure it out in the next 8 minutes before he starts getting those bubblin guts

Heartbreak for Lipscomb in the ASun.  Make a 3 to tie the game but lose at the buzzer to North Alabama

Doubtful?  Is he strong enough to play in the NBA or quick enough?  I have my doubts but he’ll get drafted and have a chance.

I think it’s more likely he’s a 3-4 year type player that doesn’t get a second deal but he’ll get a chance by whoever drafts him

The interesting thing about Edey is if the NBA likely doesn't work out, he won't transition to a long and profitable Euro career either, cause his style doesn't fit there either.  He'll probably end up in China or Taiwan (maybe not given his maternal heritage), possibly Japan, where huge centers still play starring roles.

I called it out when they were top 10 early in Jan despite having a really soft resume to that point and beating nobody.  They've lost 9 out of 15 since then and only beat a decent BYU team at home as a win of any note.  Other than the Houston loss, any top 25 team has not only beat them, but smacked them around.

Looks like UWM will win and Marquette fans will have to sweat out a potential March matchup for a few more days

Just for the Hell of it, I put the game up on the ESPN site. So, Detroit is 1-30 overall, 1-19 in the Horizon? My Gawd!

Tough basketball year for the city of Detroit.

Quite happy Purdue won. Hopefully keeps the committee from having any dopey ideas about seeding Illinois higher than Marquette.

Didn't care if Oklahoma won or lost, but the fraud continued to get exposed. Like Wags said, it was fairly easy to see that one coming.

That's as good of an ending as you can hope for in a basketball game.

First home loss for Wake tonight and a bad one at that, to Ga Tech by 1 in the final seconds.

Alabama is the most egregious example of a team gaming the metrics

They get boat raced by any team with a pulse. I am salivating for that match up.

71 free throws attempted in that game, unreal.

That’s an outrageous number. I did a quick search and it appears the SEC has several games with some absurd FT attempt totals- not sure why or what it means for March madness but I’m guessing it’ll have some significance even though they don’t matta

At it sets up a quarterfinal with Green Bay that will divide the state in two!

From Yahoo Sports:

Caitlin Clark's history-making game on Sunday averaged 3.4 million viewers on Fox, the largest audience for a women's regular-season game in 25 years and the second-largest audience for any college hoops game this season, men or women.

‌Not sure who the other 3,399,998 viewers were, but my wife and I were part of the audience.

I did too. That atmosphere was electric from start to finish. Will be interesting to see if, or at least how much, that carries over to the WNBA. Even Iowa road games have packed stadiums.

Some of her flopping is annoying, but what an unbelievable talent Clark is.

I haven't watched, but only because I can catch all of her highlights on every halftime show ever.  Fox & ESPN.  Glad she is making some $$, and that will continue.

It will carry over to the WNBA ... at least at first. Indiana Fever ticket sales have picked up, and reportedly so have sales league-wide.

Ultimately, though, it will depend on if she can be a transcendent talent in the WNBA and if she can win a lot. A big "we'll see" there.

I saw Rovell's tweet too, and curious why people would think she'd be getting a paycut. If you view NIL as endorsements, I would think that wouldn't dry up when she turns pro. I could see a shoe company trying to capitalize on her for women's basketball shoes.

Teal/no teal, but I don't know what WNBA contracts are and what she was getting/would get  next year in terms of NIL compensation.

Doesn't make sense to me either. Unless the WNBA has less visibility than college? I believe it has its challenges for revenue. Not sure if it self-sustaining or subsidized by the NBA still.

It seems like her NIL$$ is what NIL should be used for Name Image and Likeness, unlike what it seems like men's Bball is-pay to play.

At least at first, she will make a ton of $$$ on endorsements as a pro. She’ll have to stay relevant to continue to do so … but that’s the case with every athlete.

It'll be interesting to see the transition.  This year the following nationally was boosted by 1) top ten NCAA team 2) her pursuit of the scoring record 3) the attraction of college basketball in a P6 conference.  She will be on a poor WNBA team in a smallish market.  Just my opinion, but how much interest is there in WNBA hoops?

She's will be in a hoops craze state, B1G country, and have Aliyah Boston who is already pretty good as the number 1 draft pick last year.  I bet they'll get pretty good pretty quick, and will have a lot of interest.
