They really didn’t have much choice. They’ll make a change after this year.

Texas is quickly becoming one of those teams that starts the season highly regarded and misses the NCAA tournament completely.

That happens when "horns down" is more important than playing basketball.

"Horns down" should be like #105 on the top 100 issues Texas basketball should be concerned about and not #1.

Apparently Terry had to have a conversation with a couple of the UCF players in the handshake line because they did "horns down" symbols to the crowd. A couple of observations...

1. UT just created this mess with "horns down" went they went over the top about it when opposing players started to do it a few years ago. They should have just let it go. Now its like blood in the water.

2. They are going to get eaten alive in the SEC.

No idea what happened with such a similar roster, but MSU is hilariously bad.

Too many mid range jumpers and missed free throws tonight.

They don’t do anything terribly or anything great.

Except free throws.  They don’t get to the line and when they do, they don’t make them.

Metrics still like them a lot.  Boom or bust come March.  Can see it going either way.

That, too.  Don’t shoot many 3’s even though they’re a decent 3-point shooting team.  Not entirely sure what they’re doing on offense most nights

Memphis can't make it easy.  Always doing things the Hard a way.

Walker is still really good. Last 4 min they just let him do his thing. But they did a lot of bozo stuff

Hoggard was throwing skip passes to spots that only had gophers. Hall was forcing turn around shots barely hitting rim. Couldnt hit free throws. Bizarre team

And it was a game where gophers had no PG like 20 Tos and massive foul trouble. Plus gophers are not good.

Will be interesting to see if Sparty can make the dance.

Sure.  The worst era of Michigan State under Izzo coincided with Joey.  Probably trying to get that Hauser stink out of the arena

Probably?

Unknown at this time. I think that's the general assumption, but he's appealing the decision to suspend him from the team and no one knows the timetable of his trial. If charges were dropped or he were acquitted, he would probably be back eligible, but that seems like a big if to have either of those happen between now and March.

Was looking at how the other in-state teams are doing and saw that Keeyan had a nice game against UWM- 14 pts 7 rebounds.

Also UWGB is tied for first at 7-2 in the Horizon. Bo's kid must have been a truly awful coach.

I’m guessing Illinois will not, though.
