Arizona loses to Washington State.

Texas loses to a pretty horrible West Virginia. That win is not aging like we hoped. Better than a loss I suppose.

TCU takes down #9 Oklahoma and #2 Houston this week.

Houston goes 0-2 on the week after being the last undefeated in the country.

If we beat Butler, we would have been near top 5 with all the upsets…. Might be out of top 20 on Monday, but hopefully still ranked.

A much, much worse than MU had to Butler.

Butler (62 net) and Maryland (118).

At some point you just have to tip your hat to them. They put themselves in the position they are in.

From The Athletic:

North Carolina has gone from 46th in adjusted defense last season to fifth this year. During its six-game winning streak, the Heels have the best defense in college hoops, per Bart Torvik’s sorting tool, allowing only 0.836 points per possession during that stretch. UNC’s defense is also 8.8 points per 100 possessions better than the second-best defense (Notre Dame) during ACC play.

First thing that jumped out on me was the ND has the second-best defense in the ACC.

But those are impressive numbers for Hubert Davis' defense.

But their numbers weren't as impressive vs Nova, Kentucky, and UCONN.  Aren't the stats a bit skewed based on their recent competition?

Oklahoma, Clemson and NC State aren't bad teams. And like most teams, UNC has a tougher time against the best opponents on its schedule. Time will tell on all of this. For a program like UNC, March is everything.

Nc state definitely bad.

Clemson frauds. Exciting frauds, but frauds.

Oklahoma most likely frauds.

I love shrew. There is so little talent on that ND team, but he is just scheming/willing them to be competitive.

Clemson frauds. Exciting frauds, but frauds.

The fact that Brad Brownell has made it 14 seasons at Clemson is kind of amazing. He hasn't really done anything, but every so often puts together a good enough season to keep them happy.  He probably gets another contract extension after this season even though they'll stumble to a 7 or 8 seed and lose in the first round.

It helps that there are zero expectations there but still...the guy's made millions being just above average.

When he told them after the citadel game he would help them transfer to another school that was incredible. They apparently got the message.  They still aren’t good but at least they are giving it their all.  Seems like a good guy.

Would have been MU's destiny if they hired him. Good enough but not great enough.

Was he on MU's list one of the times the job became open? I don't remember. Do you think he was ever a serious candidate?

It's funny because its become an inside joke in the industry too. Bang average and never leaves. Just like a cockroach.

Please God don't let the Mich/Ohio St. game go to overtime.  Both of these teams are garbage btw.
