I think MU being a 6 pt favorite is too high

I think it’s a toss up

Missing a star player while on the road against #1?   Weird.

Illinois fans were claiming that they look just as good or better without Shannon because the ball moves more.

Im guessing they probably shoulda considered the strength of opponent a bit more

Edey getting called for two fouls in a minute is an interesting development.

Illinois not attacking the basket with Edey out.  Seems like a missed opportunity.

But have settled down and played well without him since

Showing they are not a one man team.

Showing they are about even on their home floor with a team also missing a star player

So Purdue without Edey isn’t a sub .500 team then?

Hummel just said Edey is the 2nd best player to ever play at Purdue behind G. Robinson.  How good was Rick Mount?

Jimmer Fredette mixed with Andrew Rowsey.   All time great shooter.    Slow, couldn't get his own shot at the pro level, bad defense.

Internet is your friend. Google and read his wiki page.

First high school player to make it on Sports Illustrated cover.  Legend in Indiana hs basketball.

Two time first team and one time second team All American. Played 3 years, no freshman at the time. Mainly played in ABA and nothing outstanding, but college, yes.  No three point line during his time, probably would have averaged close to 40 ppg if it was in place.

How he is not the best player ever at Purdue is mind blowing. But, everyone has their opinion.

I saw something on Twitter implying that Edey has made such improvements that he’s now viewed as a first round pick if not a lottery pick. I haven’t seen any mocks that bear that out but still seems crazy watching him.  He’s just so unbelievably slow. Multiple Illini have blown by him as soon as he steps out at all.  His offensive game will be far from unstoppable and his lack of quickness on both ends will make him unplayable.  Nothing to negate his greatness in college but I just cant see him being a high pick.
