Illinois All America candidate Terrence Shannon Jr has been suspended from the program following an arrest on rape charges, per release from the school. The school has been aware of a police investigation that began in late September.

I guess it doesn't. I just read this Tweet to fast.

Not great wording from Seth.

Gotta hear both sides

If they were...I wonder if the staff or school alerted the team.

How do you as a player even go out and play with that cloud over your head knowing the info will come out soon enough. Same from the coaches perspective.

I agree.

I bet UofI felt the same and that is why it took them until now to act.

Right?

Personally, this does not reflect poorly on UofI. How they handle it is how I will judge UofI. If they go all Michigan State and Baylor, then to hell with them.

Unless they literally posted that in the last 2-3 hours, it's meaningless and just some assholes trying to stir up controversy.

It was posted yesterday.

According to the Illinois board it sounds like the school did know too and they still were Tweeting using TSJ as the focus and just promoted a day in the life featuring him as well. They are displeased at that.

The news broke after 1:00. You posted that before 2:00. My point stands.

And knowing he was being investigated as opposed to knowing the details, circumstances, and timing of the charges being announced are two totally different things. If it turns out the social media people knew this was happening and still went ahead with it, that's one thing. Otherwise, it's still just asshol/color]es trying to stir up controversy and nothing more.

If they lose this one and against Kentucky in February that’s not an at large resume.

Crazy to think they might need to win the WCC tournament to get in.

They will have zero Q1 wins if they lose to Kentucky, so it's definitely probable they will have to win the WCC conference tournament to get in.

St. Thomas rolled North Dakota to open up Summitt League play.  Not as impressive as their win in Milwaukee but a win still

Gonzaga is a pile of 💩. Every year they are overrated. Kentucky is going to smoke them. Given their name even if they lose in the conference tournament they will most likely be in the play in game at minimum. 0 quad 1 wins would be awfully impressive

I love to be so overrated to have two national championship game appearances in the last decade.

8 Sweet 16’s since 2015 overrated.  Marquette has been to 5 since the tournament expanded to 64.

Let's be real they play in a joke of a conference and get overseeded every year because of their overall record not quality of wins. Also, there championship runs they didn't play higher than a 4 seed before the championship when they lost both. My point was they are overseeded every year maybe not overrated.

Notre Dame, who played even with Marquette for the final 30 minutes, leads Virginia by 18 with 3:34 left in the first half.  Cavs have 16 points.

Tony Bennett the new Gary Williams?  Many are saying this
