Fine student athletes?
'Fine' the adjective, or 'fine' the verb?

Not this crap again, are they as good as their 11-1 football team?

They are #68 in Kenpom - so play-in game?

My gut says 4/5. The MSU win is devalued and there's only so far you can go without many good wins.

My question is how many games they can lose and still get an at-large. My guess is 3 total (2 regular season, then 1 conference tourney).

I vaguely remember Wichita States undefeated season they didn't beat anyone ranked and their SOS was above 100 (not sure how far above). They got a 1 seed. I think they lost the first weekend. I could be remembering wrong. But it was a bone of contention in the media as I recall

2014 WSU was a one seed and lost to an eight seed Kentucky in the second round.

They would likely be more like a six seed Murray State from 2012. Probably a four or five IMO.

Wichita was a top-5 team in kenpom, and by this point of the season they were #12. JMU is currently #68. If they win out they'll likely be top-50, maybe even top-30, but no one will confuse them for 2014 WSU.

2014 Wichita also beat a lot more quality teams than James Madison could this season. Looking at the top KenPom games of each:

WICH:
#10 Tennessee
@#35 Saint Louis
vs.#49 BYU
@#82 Tulsa
@#86 Alabama
@#95 Northern Iowa

JMU:
@#23 Michigan State
@#79 App State
#79 App State
@#103 Kent State
vs.#106 SIU
@#151 UL-Lafayette

Even if JMU does go undefeated,  the schedule isn't remotely on the same level as Wichita States was
TAMU

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Hypothetical first round match up Morehead State blowing the doors off of Indiana at halftime at Assembly Hall.

Morehead started standing around.

And life is so much more peaceful here if IU wins.

Must watch one minute video attached.

Shrewsberry going nuclear on his players after brutal loss.  Don't know how players will react, but MU going to need a point guard next year, maybe that Burton would like to leave.
