Funny, but MU is now in position to see a court storming if we lose an away game…and I think our guys will do everything in their power to avoid that happening.

Duke is perhaps the most egregiously overrated team in years. They have no business in the top 10, let alone top 5.

In the unlikely event we lose Saturday, there will be no court storming in Madison.

You’re forgetting about Michigan State already.

Highly overrated, but not gilded in the preseason like Duke was this offseason. Sports media just can't get away from them. I've probably posted this here before, but I think the jury is still way out on Jon Scheyer. He has a better chance of being fired this decade than winning a NC.

This is a night when it really sucks to be ranked so high in the AP poll: 4 top 20 teams lost. Definite opportunity for others to move up.

Marquette unfortunately only has two teams it can benefit from screwing up.

Merrimack's AD is making Merrimack play Cooley
Cooleys' AD is making Cooley play Merrimack
Well Cooley's gonna play Merri cause Merri taking care of Cooley
We'll all be feeling merry if Cooley beats Merrimack
There it is.   I am glad somebody got it.

Games of the Day brought to you by the ghost of Henry Kissinger who reminds you, illegal wars aren’t illegal if you believe they aren’t:

Warren Wilson at Elon at 6PM on FloH

Shawnee State at Kent State at 6PM on ESPN+

The Apprentice School at Longwood at 6PM on ESPN+

Hannibal-LaGrange at Western Illinois at 7PM on ESPN+

Rocky Mountain at Montana State at 8PM on ESPN+

Ramsey head thoroughly up his ass.

How about if we win? Can our fanbase storm the Madison court?

The only teams that have truly good wins as of now are Marquette and Purdue. IMO you cannot include Duke Zona in the mix yet as they haven't beaten anyone. Dukes best win is a natural site win to 3-3 MSU who has beaten no one yet and Zonas best win is Duke. I honestly think this is the year the Big East can get two one seeds.

You may be right on that. Arkansas is not particularly good this year.

They were also missing their best player.  I think court storms should be for major upsets, just my take.

Agreed. A P6 school (except DePaul) should not rush the court after beating #7. Kind of takes the luster off a court storming. Oh well, not a very important issue and the kids had fun.

Scheyer has done a good job of capitalizing off of the Coach K aura in regards to recruiting, but once that wears off, he will be seen as an average coach at best.

Well, he gets Flagg and like 4 other top 10 recruits next year.  By all accounts CF is the real deal. It's going to be hard for Scheyer to completely screw next year up.

If you were an Arkansas undergrad, rather than an older guy posting on the interwebs, you'd have gleefully stormed the court.

It will be interesting to see how the NIL strategies play out. Shaka and Izzo are leaning more toward culture and development. Duke more one and done. UCLA more international. Kansas more pay for top transfers blended in with high recruits mix. Purdue development within system with players who fit the system. Huggy went more toward pay for play transfers before his drunken meanderings.

As has been mentioned here before, in 1989 we stormed the court following a win against an ND team that had a losing record at the time. I'm not proud of that fact, but it was a hell of a lot of fun. College kids are looking for an excuse to storm the court...sometimes their criteria don't quite live up to the august standards set by Scoopers.

Oh I am completely proud of storming the court against ND in 1989.
