Is there anything Marquette does that you won’t complain about?

Not sure that’s really complaining. Not sure what else Marquette has done that I have complained about.

But this is a marketing fail.

That’s not the new court. Just a rendering someone made.

After 10 Miller Lites, if you look closely enough at the new floor you can see Al gleefully raising his arms.

Amazing work everyone!

10 Miller Lites? Why are your numbers so low?

I like the opposing M - nice homage to the Mecca and old courts...

However...no AL McGuire court anymore?

It was literally the first close up

Is it a magic eye puzzle?

I remember looking at those in the Sunday paper and could never see the 3D image

Seriously - nobody attached a picture yet.  I think I'll add this to the OP.

While I'm not really a fan of the busy/blocky border areas, my general feelings about courts is that as long as they're not hideous, overly distracting, or seeping moisture from the ice rink below, then they're fine.  Same applies with uniforms (except the seeping from below, that's a whole different level of concern).  Generally speaking, I don't understand what all the excitement is about for them.

I think the alternating color stripe is getting old and played out. I hoped to see something a little different by now. It's not bad, but I don't love the new court.

Disagree, its cool, no one else really does it, thrilled to see it on our court.

Count me among those who really like the new floor.

I like it. It's kinda fun and unique.

Only real improvement is if it had Holo Al moving up and down the court as well.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Agree. Thumbs up. Just wish the unis had the border too, like the women's unis did last year.

That’s a significant upgrade. Now give the logo in the middle a nice tweak and we’d really be cooking.

How would you tweak the logo?  I think it’s fine.  It’s finally recognizable because of the consistency over multiple years.  Changing it again and starting over hurts the brand.   Not sure what people want.

Not sure. Not a graphic artist.  But lots of great college team logos out there. Just my opinion

I think a major problem with the logo is that it is NOT recognizable. A plurality of sports fans guess it’s Michigan. The next most popular vote would be “I dunno.” Otherwise, for me it’s 10-15 years dated. I’d say iterate something more contemporary or unique with “MU” or consider involving the Q, as in MARQ.

Changing it every 10-15 years will make it more unrecognizable.  Consistency is key along with success on the court.

Every Big East fan knows the logo.  General CBB fans will as soon as MU has sustained success in the NCAA tournament.  Academicians will know the MU logo if somehow MU gets a US News top 25 ranking which isn’t happening soon.

Bring back the actual eagle from the early 2000s. I don’t mind the MU but they should also use the eagle
