Well it's the biggest fundraiser for MU athletics so that's one reason and you'd then see the passion that Homer bring. 

It's inconceivable to me that more on this board don't buy tables.

I don't understand how you can be a fan of Marquette and not attend / over spend these events.  This is where the rubber meets the road.  If you want to win, get on board.

I don't live in the area. I attend one or two games a year. I have ZERO desire to attend a fundraising event to benefit MU athletics.

If that doesn't make me a good enough fan in your eyes, I don't care.

Setting aside the "analysis" around Homer's views, he is truly a bad broadcaster. It's unfathomable to me that anyone who regularly watches televised sports wouldn't agree. He's a below average color commentator miscast as play-by-play, with little ability to describe game action and an unpleasant voice.

Homer is COLE. Time for an upgrade.

Marquette is going to silently fire someone (but not actually fire them because he's still the radio voice) who isn't an employee of the school and punish them by not allowing them to host a lightly watched/attended event? Sounds like badger fans talking about a potential recruit.

No idea but I'm ready for a new radio team.  Homer's style calling games with his attempts at being cute has grown very old on me. Smith is insightful but still manages to come across boring. I also don't get the feeling he truly enjoys the gig and is having fun with it.

It's also pretty obvious Homer has been a big MU backer for a long time.

It's also pretty obvious Homer would tell his friends that he's ready for less radio time to save face.
