Thank God for Stan Johnson!  🕺

He got us Markus Howard and then convinced Oso to come to Marquette over Texas as well.  When Oso said he chose Marquette for the wrong reasons I think this was eluding to the fact he chose Marquette because of his relationship with Stan Johnson and his respect for the Howard family vs. his relationship and belief in the head coach/Wojo.

Then Shaka and his staff came in and immediately challenged him with intense workouts to let him know there was a new way of doing business... he quickly responded back with "I have both feet in"!

If Marquette has a deep run and makes a Final 4 this year, Oso has to go down as one of the most important recruits Marquette ever got.  Character matters and Oso embodies great character combined with great talent!

Oso is a very special young man who represents MU very, very well both on and off the court. His future is very bright - whether it be in basketball or another endeavor.

How can you not love this kid (and his folks)? He's grounded, dedicated, and goal(NC)-oriented.

Thanks so much for posting.

Great interview, though this video made the rounds on MU boards 6 weeks ago.

Ty for posting this.  Oso is an outstanding young man.  I fully expect him to reach an even higher level as a Sr.  LFG!!!!  Take no prisoners!!  This MU team has the potential to go medieval!!.
