2023 US Open at Los Angeles Country. A private course that has hosted very few professional events. The course architect has restored a very trick par 3 on 17. Could be an exciting hole down the stretch

....it's about a 5 iron, I'd say.   Tears in his eyes.....

They had a par 3 this long at Oakmont.

I'd probably use a wedge.

(But enough about my third shot on the hole. Or fourth.)

Here is a course description of all the holes. Looks like the  290 yard 11th has a 40 foot elevation drop

This is the most excited about the venue for the US Open in a long time. I cannot wait for play to get started.

Now that they're going to "anchor sites", I'll be curious to see how many "new" venues they choose moving forward.  The only open years between now and 2040 are '31, '36 and '38 with Shinnecock almost certainly getting '36 or '38.

The Chicago area will go 30-35 years between US Opens should they not get one in that period.  I suppose going to Oakland Hills in '34 counts for the Midwest now.

Too many good venues rendered obsolete by equipment and the almighty dollar.  Really hope the USGA doesn't rule out exploring sites to host but I fear they are

Many of the traditional Chicago privates are no longer interested, just Jemsek

They were married in 2019 and had a child in 2019.  I need him to get on the Ryder Cup team.  Would be a big boost for Team Europe

I believe Rickie is 3-7-5 in the Ryder Cup. Even if his game is "back," I'm not sure it strikes much fear in the Europeans.

Rocket isn't much into facts.  Rick did finally win a match on foreign soil in 2018, so he's hot

last september he was ranked #185.  he has since climbed back into the top 50=fact

otherwise, never stated anything else as fact so no idea what you are trolling me for
