Nice. A lot of length and athleticism with him and Owens.

He will be on Marquette's campus next summer when he is still 17.

Welcome to MU!
So you are saying he's the next Markus Howard?  ;D

"The funny thing is when Smart and Marquette first began making contact, Parham didn't know where Marquette was or even which conference the Warriors played in."

I like the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

When I was recruited to Marquette (despite my ability to dunk, it was not for basketball or any other sports, though I excelled at innertube water polo) I had to ask where Marquette was as well. I like this kid already!

He's another in the long line of Western Pennsylvania studs that played at Marquette:  Maurice Lucas, Ulice Payne, Joe Nethen, LLoyd Moore, Marc Marotta...

Stevie Mitchell?  Or is he from Philly?

It sure seems to me that if Shaka targets a kid hard, his success rate of landing the kid is quite high. I had no doubt about recruiting chops when he got hired, and believe his success rate will only improve moving forward.

BCHoopster

Have to like early recruitments and commitments.  Gives Shaka more time this summer to go after just a few kids and 2025 kids.  Those kids will get a lot of attention!

Ugh! Only a 72% FT shooter.

Stevie Mitchell?  Or is he from Philly?

Stevie is from Reading, so definitely more on the Philly side of PA.

I'm hoping to catch a game or two from Parham this upcoming season.  My nephew goes to a neighboring school and played against him last season, so they'll likely meet again.  I'll be the psycho cheering for both teams.

Markus Howards was only 17.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Markus Howards was only 17.

Really?  I had never heard that!

Actually, Markus was 17 until April of his Freshman year, whereas I think Royce will turn 18 before he starts his Freshman year.
The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.

Markus is STILL 17. Little known fact!

Some big time names from the past.

I remember them like it was yesterday.  You could get a Gettleman's and Old Grand-dad boilermaker for a buck and a quarter and the barmaids would tell off-color jokes while filling your peanut bowl.

Now, you can't find an aircraft carrier and have to drink a seltzer or the woke mob gets you and whisky costs a $100 a shot.

Parham will probably be 7' when he arrives at Marquette.
