Nobody who ever celebrates winning a semifinal has ever won a title.

NOBODY!

No doubt that JFB was being a touch dramatic not holding the conference trophy but that mind set is what drives him to succeed and it doesn’t bother the vast majority of fans.

Entire teams in some sports don’t touch the conference title trophy (NHL for example) but keep reaching!!!

I hope you have a great bottle of Cooks to douse yourself with when the Nugs wrap it up this week

Most people think it was a pretty badass answer "I'll hold the next one".

Agreed.  Only Jimmy Butler is too cool to celebrate that.

Well … that’s not true, either. Extreme positions from either “side” are almost always seriously flawed.

Not sure why most of this stuff gets your undies in such a bundle … but just as Jimmy will be Jimmy, you be you.

Maybe one where I pretend to hand him a hard earned trophy and he refuses to take it because he's way too locked in and competitive to accept that trophy when there's a bigger trophy out there.

Imagine if only Nikola Jokic would've stayed locked in on a title rather than celebrating winning a meaningless Conference Finals.

Nobody who ever celebrates winning a semifinal has ever won a title.  Disrupts your focus way too much.

What a try hard.

You don't watch many other sports I take it?

Jimmy being Jimmy = an incredible, out of nowhere story that will end with Jimmy in the basketball Hall of Fame.

bias being bias = a sad story of basketball know nothing with a serious case of Jimmy envy that will end with a whimper.

I’ll let you have your feud with him. It’s not mine.

He’s a character. We’ve got a lot them on Scoop!

Uh, no one said it was your feud.  But make it about yourself, umpshow.

Would’ve been pretty badass had he not gone 5/18 in a win or go home game, including a turnover down 1 inside 30 seconds left and a forced 3 with 15 seconds left.

Maybe Jokic will let Jimmy hold the trophy.

Would be pretty badass if you'd go 1 for 700 by making your next post here something of value.

Butler didn't have a great Finals and, except for a brief stretch tonight, had a really bad Game 5. But the Heat wouldn't have even sniffed the Finals had Butler not been sensational in earlier rounds, game after game after game.

He's one of many great players to have never won a title. Maybe he'll do it next season, or maybe -- like Malone, Stockton, Barkley, Ewing, Gervin, Paul, etc etc etc -- he never will.

Drafted during a Taco Bell commercial to becoming a Hall of Famer, MVP and NBA champ.  Indeed, a 30 for 30 has unfolded

Indeed... Jimmy is an inspiration to us all.  Too bad he came up short in winning it all but an unbelievable run regardless!

My only quibble with Jokic is his red nose.

As a fellow Serb, I am very happy for Jokic. He is a helluva player and fun to watch.

Jokic can't be a Serb, not enough facial hair.

Looks like Jimmy put his friend through a workout to prove a point about regular people’s athletic skills, but his friend is wearing MU shorts. MU is back for Jimmy maybe?
