The UConn game might say a 15 point loss, but the game was over early. It did feel like a bigger a loss to me.
Fair enough, in Scoop 15 = 40.

Have to say after dealing with Aztec fans constantly shouting "Big East sucks" when we lost to them in the Wooden Tourney several years ago,  I got special satisfaction that it wasn't even close late.  Other than drawing Alabama,  they got super lucky in their matchups up until the Final Four.

Buh bye Aztec Nation.

Did anyone else find it odd that some of the Aztecs fans were wearing foam cowboy hats?  I suppose this was because the game was in Texas?  I'm not well versed on the Aztecs but I found it pretty strange.

Thanks for excerpting the NYT article. Kudos to Hurley for waving the Big East flag.
Did notice that the three schools specifically  named when talking about the original split in 2013 were all East Coast ones…..
