Dan Hurley - Beginning to like this guy..

Really good article in The Atlantic on Dan Hurley.  Loved Hurley's blunt comments post-Gonzaga about The Big East being the best conference and that once they got outside of that best conference it was essentially like playing JV teams.  Interesting backstory of his life in this article.

Very good article. Once you get to know a guy a little, and his background it gives you some perspective. Now if I can just get past those fans of UConn...and I lived there for 25+ yrs!

LOVE how he carries the flag for the BE. And he ain't wrong!

Unfortunately this is impossible.  I don't mind Hurley, and I think UCONN wins it all.  But this will now make UCONN fans beyond insufferable and probably think they are better than the BEast.

The Big East can win the National Championship without UConn, but UConn can't win a national championship without the Big East. Fact.

Now, if Hurley coached in the ACC and talked like this, I’d really hate him

Hurley is a Big East loyalist to the core. He used the move to The Big East to his recruiting  advantage for sure . It is good for all teams in the league if The Huskies can get a Natty.

Not to worried about their fans becoming jerks, they already are insufferable lol

Didn't they win their last natty while in the AAC?

He meant “Scoop-Fact”. Which by definition is entirely based on feelings, a convenient narrative or just plain ill will to own another poster.

To be fair.  That team was entirely recruited and built in the Big East. After 2014, until returning to the Big East, , UCONN went 110-90, 53-55 in conference.  A single NCAA win and a first round NIT exit.

Mick Cronin's UC teams won as many NCAA games his last 3 years in the Big East as they did the following 7 years in the AAC, when they were the strongest team YoY in the conference.

TSmith was being a bit hyperbolic, but there is no doubt that playing and recruiting in the BEast is a much better way to build, develop, and prepare a team than a mid major AAC.

I don't like your so-called fact so I am just going to pretend it doesn't exist.

Did you make that just for me?  The art program at the community college is really paying dividends for you.

I know it is a line from Bill and Ted's excellent adventure.

Tsmith is more at the peewee's big adventure level of "I know you are but what am I?"

And the peepshows, but we don't talk about that in public.

C'mon, you are in Wisconsin.    Like you need to wait until Friday for a fish fry.
