What kind of tournament begins with a single win?
All of them

Don't underestimate the significance of the 18 pt barrage by Jones the Elder.

1.  Kolek injured and out of sorts.  Winning without him carrying MU is huge.
2.  What was a foul in the Big East is not a foul in the tournament.
3.  Vermont is old and unimpressed.
4.  Then Kam happened.  Markus-like.  DJames against Valparaiso.
5.  Defense happened at the same time.
6.  Perhaps the flagrant 1 focused them.
7.  All that angst.
8.  In the end, Vermont was who we thought they were.
9.  Like I said, second half team.
10. .....starts with a single step

BEAT SPARTY!

I said that when it happened "I hope that pisses them off". It did.

Good to see TK in the background without a giant bag if ice on his hand.

Not to mention the drought covered three coaches.

LOL - Sure - 1 year of a guy who won 8 NCAA tournament games in 6 years, 1 year of a guy who now has a regular season Big East title, a Big East tournament title and an NCAA tournament win under his belt and 8 years of guy #3 who won bupkus.

Bet even the Sultan of picking nits can figure out which of the 3 doesn’t belong.

Give it a rest.  He's been gone two years already.
Guess you were one of his slurpers
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind.

Imagine caring about a former coach when your team is currently having one of the best seasons in school history.

Agree. Was his injury addressed in any of the interviews?

Shaka said he would consult with trainers.
And that he expected Tyler to play.

Buzz Williams is the 2nd best coach in MU history and if you think otherwise you’re drunk.

In about 2 months he’ll be the 3rd best coach in MU history.

So, your only criteria for coach greatness is his best performance in the NCAA tournament?
Have some patience, FFS.

Depends on who you ask. For me, that’s pretty important. I’d personally rather have a s16 appearance every year in lieu of a conference title.
