The amount of people picking MU to lose today on twitter is… unsettling.

F em

Conversely, the number of national pundits who have picked Marquette for the Elite Eight and/or Final Four could be deemed "unsettling" to some.

Obviously, none of the above actually matters. If our guys play to their abilities, they'll have a heck of a tournament run. If not ... well ... let's not even go there because they will!

All I know, if we were playing Vermont on 12/15 in Ft. Myers I do not think many pundits would be looking for an upset. Fxck 'em.

i know I have the tendency to reiterate things but when MU attacks, they never look back.  Do not settle.  Shred them inside early and often and then unload with our entire arsenal.

I think establishing interior with our "not dominant" big will go a long way

You’ve said Attack Attack Attack all year long. Marquette won a BET and regular season BE title this year and is a #2 seed.

Coincidence? I think not!

Also, did you use to write Wojo’s huddle speeches?

Yup. Attack inside relentlessly and maybe draw some fouls on them too.   Success inside will equal better 3 point shot opportunities as well.   Attack and be relentless.  No finish line.   No easing up.   Shred Vermont’s will.  Smash and destroy!   Goo Marquette!

Our trio of road Warriors is passing Richmond, IN, hometown of Dominic James, on our way to Columbus. We're jacked. We're nervous. We're ready.

Glad you guys are going to the game. I was once briefly in Richmond, Indiana. I really hope you just passed it and did not stop in that dump of a town.

I was curious to see what the people in our office pool thought of Marquette. Just an average, run of the mill group -- some people who follow things pretty closely and plenty of casual March Madness fans in NE Ohio and Michigan. Hopefully this will help you feel...settled.

The thirty-three entries had the following:

  • Championship - 3
  • Losing in final - 3
  • Final Four - 6
  • Elite Eight - 11
  • Sweet 16 - 7
  • Second Round - 3
  • Losing first round - 0

In short, as many people in our office pool think MU will win the championship as think they will fail to make it to the second weekend (and given our geography, a smattering of MSU/Big10 fans is not surprising). Also, more than a third of the entries have MU advancing to the Final Four.

We are!

Interesting! And some are avid bball fans? Even more interesting.

I'm guessing you are in the Toledo area.

Omax shines today.  He thrives when he is head and shoulders more athletic than the competition.  Coupled with the positive vibes his "award winning" teammates have been sending his way, I think he gets the tourney off to a good start.

Just stepped outside and noticed my old and frayed MU flag was all tangled up and the frayed edges tied itself in a knot around the bracket.  Why can't the wind be in a Southerly direction today so the flag looks majestic on the side of my garage? What's wrong with this world?!?!

No, I'm not on edge, you're on edge!!
