Lot of doubters going into the season, including yours truly. Kolek said what he said. He and the team backed it up.

People still expected UCONN to win the Big East Tournament. As Shaka said, we take a back seat to nobody.

What a championship performance. No doubt who the best team was in this conference. 2 games better than anyone through 20 regular season games. Alone at the end in MSG.

And of all the POY candidates mentioned during the conference season, Kolek showed up every game in the Tournament while the others laid some eggs. Hopkins, Hawkins, Boum.

I thought in the beginning that this would be a tough year maybe.    Lots of unknowns .  And each game I was thrilled that we won.  Now 28 wins!   Wow!  So proud of Marquette, the team coaches and staff!

OK, I guessed, as I recall, about 20-8 or so when the season started and a middle of the pack Big East team. I said we would go to the NCAAs as a 7 or 8 seed.
