I never paid much attention to Kolek between plays before, but have the last three or so. (as Shaka pointed out, last year, he was not even in the game during the final clutch times). But he seems to be Larry Birding opponents, after shots, during stoppages in play, to referees on calls (see him and refs laughing during conversations), to opposing benches. It is funny to watch and as he works on his repertoire, the birding seems to be increasing. Same with Stevie who seems to limit his birding to the people he is guarding.  Kam has never been low in swag; his hop and skip after his three in front of the Creighton bench last night was hilarious. Kolek during post game pressers has had such matter of fact bravado. He's got nuts, to quote Shaka again.

Any people who attend the games who could add what they see or other members on the board who observe other trends?

My favorite Kolek jawing story happened last season. I can't remember which home game, i was sitting a few rows back of the MU bench. Kolek did something and Shaka yelled at him "don't be an a$$hole". Kolek promptly got a steal and scored in transition and yelled at Shaka (in a fun way) "Can I be an pretty boy now?" Next offensive trip he buried a three and yelled at Shaka on the way back " How bout now?"

I already loved him but that solidified it for good

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

That game is engrained in my brain for that.

Seems it's rubbing off too. Love seeing last week with Stevie (the man with the golden smile and big heart who seems like the nicest dude around) absolutely breaking Souley Boum with his crap talking.

The team has the right edge.

Lazar picking up where the BIG 3 left off....

Kolek does jaw but he also just talks to opponents, helps them off the floor, etc. It's like it just one big pick up game.

Before his career is over at MU, he will be enemy number one at a lot of road games. One of the first things I noticed about him last year was that he had a real edge about him. Best part, he backs it up with his play. Simply watching opposing fans interact with him will be a show on its own.

Kolek is a possibility to displace the Dream as my favorite MU player.

He is climbing my list in quick order. A lot of old guys are getting knocked down my top ten list and replaced with Kolek.

Why not both?  How old is Travis?  Tell him it's about time for a grandson named Tyler.

I think it's a bit more.  He has an edge and you can tell that he's had a lifetime of getting chirped at on the court cause he's a white dude with preppy hair who went to an elite boarding school for HS.  So while he's not dirty or chippy, he's gonna let you hear it when he busts your a**, especially when you've given him stuff before.  That 1000% happened with Whitmore in the Nova game.

There the same guy...played against Diener...he talked a ton of sh1t.  I told him he talked pretty smart for someone who got held back in 8th grade...but I waited until the game wasn't in doubt to do so.  He was so damn good.

He is not passing all time greats yet, but definitely passing some of favorite players. He has ways to go to pass a good number of guys, but hope he does. If so, if will be well earned.

Singing Country Roads during free throws against WVU last year is by far the best trash talk he's done.

Did not know that talk aspect of Koleks game, but just makes him more of a character which MU needs.
He may become a legend at MU but to many BEast opponents coaches he will be compared to that huge prick from Syracuse, Deefendork

Forgot about that and I was there!
He inspired fans to sing hat on the way out, or so I've been told.
