I agree with this analysis.

As for the game - Fitting end the half. This is us versus Baylor where everything is going nearly perfect for UCONN.

Great to see Ben Gold make an impact. Oso lack of outside shooting really challenging us as teams are dropping off him at the elbow and just quick first step doesn't matter as the defender has enough cushion.

Need OMax to get out of his funk.

Yet somehow it's February and the wheels are falling off again.  Guess the coaches and team refuse to learn from past mistakes.

Hopefully BG ends up a brightside from this game and he carries some momentum down the stretch
Lazar picking up where the BIG 3 left off....

Agree on the last two. Teams are figuring out how to play Oso now.

The trolls are out in force.    Whatever.    They are right until MU proves them wrong.

Garbage post, you're better than that Tower

You can't prove something wrong when one loss = fade or whatever garbage they're peddling.  Marquette could have won tonight and Saturday but lost to X and it'd be the same BS.

You don't get the nations best offense or one of the best by smoke and mirrors or being the same old team.  It's lazy and stupid sports fan Joe Beer Gut trash

And yet they look like the same old team.  February fade in full effect.  Are they still the nations best offense?   How's the February offense been?

Cut it to 10 by ten minute mark and see what happens. Win some battles early and get a little run to start the half. Like the St. John's game, we should be down 25+ at half

I'm encouraged by the last 4-6 minutes of the first half.  We could have clawed this down to 10 or 12 with a few bounces going our way.

Second half team.

Trying to put myself in the shoes of someone who posts on a college basketball message board only to troll when the team is playing poorly. It's hard to fully wrap the mind around it. One thing I'm sure about: your life is deeply sad.

And then they hit the 3 before the half.  As Verne said, "What a way to finish."
But MU is not done. We'll see what MU is made of. Some say it's a road game or it doesn't matter. It does. Fighting to stay on top, fighting to win is mandatory.  Respect doesn't come easy. It will take an outstanding effort in the 2nd half. I expect to see a MU win. They have enough energy. Get some shots to fall.  Get fouled. Get it close. Steal it.

Oso, OMax, and Kam have been anemic thus far.  Give UCONN credit for hitting shots but we can't have 3 of our 4 best players doing nothing out there.  I think we let their hot start get to us and then lost our poise.

Haven't responded and reported like I normally do but we know all know that's Rocky's burner because he won't do anything.

MU plays 8 games in February. What do you think their record will be in those games?

Goose

I do not think this game is over yet. No wiggle room, but quick start could turn the tide.

That's one theory.  The other is that it's February and the wheels are coming off like they do every year.  They will be 1-3 at best in this 4 game stretch and suddenly look like a very mediocre team.

I love this team.   MU is losing to a ranked team on the road.   I am not worried about it in the macro sense at all.    But, it is a fair critique until it isn't anymore.    It has been discussed ad nauseum in actual non-game threads.     Scoopers convincing themselves this year is different.     And I believe it will be.    But right now, during this game, Farley has an opportunity to gloat.    Can't take it personally or seriously.

Agreed, though that half court buzzer beater hurt.

If that comes to fruition then I'd agree that would be a fade.

How is Farley now different than all the guys who bitched in every game, even wins,  under Wojo?    And you know who you are.

Same stuff, different poster.
