I think 2024 is a better option.  I would be stunned if Oso, Omax, and TKo are still at MU in two years

I'm not sure if you're serious or not, but I am. There is no great team this season. Marquette's as good as anybody.

Go cry somewhere else

Do you really think everybody on your list will still be playing for Marquette 2 seasons from now?

And why are you "crying" by not picking us to win it all this season?

For once, we don't have to look ahead. Marquette is very good this year.  Could be a special year.

Yessir.

We're #8 in kenpom with the #1 offense. Getting to the Final Four wouldn't be a shock. THIS EFFEN YEAR!

Alabama terrifies me, but other than that, I agree they can play with just about anyone.

I'm serious about that. In every game we've played this year we've been tied or led with fewer than 5 to go. There's no truly scary team out there. It would take the right draw and some luck, but at this point we're a national championship contender.

Shhhh it’s like a perfect game.

The longer you don’t talk about it the higher the odds it happens…

Just kidding.
For real though, I don’t quite see a national championship contender just yet.

I will say though, every time I see that stifling defense I saw tonight, along with yet another creative way to pull off a game offensively, I become more optimistic.

OMax and Oso weren’t great offensively tonight, to say the least, and Marquette still won.
They always find a way, and often times a different way, and I love that when it comes to March.

Let's shoot for 2028.  Final Four is in Las Vegas.

If they want to win a couple of Natties in the meantime, I would be okay with that as well.
Have some patience, FFS.

As absurd as it is to look ahead 2 years, he does have a point.  EVERY player on this team is a freshman or sophomore, eligibility-wise.

Of course, not everyone will be here 2 years from now, but it's fun to think about.  It could be quite a 3 year run.

That's why we're a contender. Because if Purdue is the best the rest of the country has and we led them for 35 minutes in their building, there's no one that scares me.

Good point.
That game was great, Marquette played so well.
Can’t believe we lost.
And they might be the #1 seed in the tourney.

Gimme a 3 seed and let’s get to Houston and it’s all a dream

Vegas hosts the West Regional this year.  Maybe MU can get some practice cutting down the nets in Vegas.

This is all just crazy talk.

I was just fine with Wojo, right up until the game where he forgot the score and demanded a foul with seconds left, in a tie game.  That's when I could no longer make excuses for the guy.  It's amazing people are actually discussing this, and more amazing how much of an upgrade Shaka is.
