it looks like pelosi was trying and/or had the dude somewhat subdued until the cops got there.  it all happened so quickly.  i can't imagine pp would have survived if the cops weren't there.

  as for conspiracies?  all they gotta do is release the cam footage just as they do with anyone else.  they tried to avoid putting out the dash cam of his drunk driving for ??   the inordinate amount of time releasing footage that is typically released within days will make people wonder what's going on, special treatment?  joe lunch pail's dash cam is released within hours

The 911 calls is very troubling...Pelosi was desperately trying to make it clear that he had a significant problem without setting the attacker off, but the dispatcher simply was not understanding.

If that dispatcher didn't send the police with whatever code indicates an extremely serious situation, she completely missed the boat. He was clearly trying to let her know that everything was most definitively not ok.

  you just had to get this in...this happens whenever someone from either side gets hurt or worse.  you didn't hear the half of what "some" were saying after scalise was shot up so put your virtuoso crap away.  once the "media" found out it wasn't a white supremacist, maga hat wearing, tea party mouth breather, they went back to the bars.  you're never going to get everyone to think like you 82 and thank God for that. 

    i'm just trying to show you, partisanship can be put aside as it should.  this was brutal and shouldn't happen to ANYONE.  if the hammer were a gun, you would still be screaming about the gun.  there was a person behind that hammer just as there would have to be a person behind the gun.  it is a miracle pp wasn't killed

I'd say the postings are quite different.
When someone snarkily posts "thoughts and prayers" after a mass shooting, they're taking aim at the hypocrisy of political figures who offer such platitudes while also blocking efforts that could make such events less likely.
The post here, while equally insincere, is merely another failed attempt by the poster to be funny.

yes it was-they edited it after about 3-4 views on fox's martha maccallum show around noon.  if there was continued footage after they subdued depape and attended to pp, then yes, i guess it could have gotten worse.  i mean they didn't show the gapping hole depape probably put into pp's skull, but otherwise, sadly, it was enough.  almost reminded me of one of those "faces of death" scenes

  i saw the original one when it first, i mean FIRST came out-  the reaction from the panel-martha .
maccallum et. al. were truly stunned!  they were mortified!  she quickly apologized as they were not warned it was going to be so graphic.  kennedy couldn't even watch it.  they showed it from the moment the cops got to pp's door, looking around, knocking on the door to pp body laying on the ground.  cops were on top of depape while immediately calling for emergency services.

    the only thing that kept the viewers from seeing pp get hit in the head was the fact that right at the moment the hammer struck him in the melon, he moved to the right, just off screen.  you could see the swing was full force, "working on the railroad" swing.  showed the cops on top of depape with his feet over pp's body kind of kicking as they were trying to restrain and subdue him.  then that "death rattle" like sound...don't know the source of it...pp, depape or one of the two cops?  could have been deep wheezing too, but it sounded like the rattle.

subsequent replays edited out depape's down swing and struggle that ensued and that "noise"

Please provide examples of anybody in the media or supposed leaders from "the other side" saying, after Scalise was attacked, that it was Scalise's fault. Or examples of made-up stories about his sexual preferences. Or examples of them enjoying good belly-laughs at Scalise's expense.

I can provide plenty of examples of all that regarding the Paul Pelosi situation, some in this thread.
