As weird as it feels to type that, the biggest thing going for MU is how the schedule breaks out going forward.

MU now an OK chance to set the program record for wins in a season, too. And a few fairly realistic paths to get there. 23-8 + BET title + Elite 8 would do it. Add and subtract a win from whatever column you'd like would also do it. i.e 24-7 + BET title + Sweet 16, or 24-7 + BET runner-up + Elite 8.

Earlier in the season was was very concerned about MU's recent history of February swoons. They've since convinced me that they are for real.

Exactly. Don't see how it's any different than talking about preseason projections in October. Except at this point of the season, we have more concrete data and thus the conversation is more educated.

I don't remember anyone saying "don't talk about them picking us ninth, we gotta get through Radford and CMU first."

AT, MU, Prov, UCONN, SH and SJU.
They will pick up multiple loses
