I think I'll be staying away.

But I am definitely hammering UCONN -2 at Xavier.

I'm sure I'll be criticized but I see this as a barometer game.  My personal take is MU has top 3 talent in the BEast.  Nova has 3 guys with F4 experience and Whitmore may come along but this is not the Wright Nova teams we've grown accustomed to seeing.  They mucked it up a bit vs UCONN and will play a low possession game.  That said they really don't have an interior defender and I think we can exploit that.

The Oso/Dixon match-up will be interesting.  We obviously need Ighodaro on the floor.  Don't settle for long J's early in the shot clock.  I like our chances it we move the rock and take advantage of our offensive versatility.  Ginsu knife these guys inside and out.  I expect eagle-eye focus today.

That should help recruiting.

Interesting post Muggs. Admittedly playing the game of "shoulda/coulda/woulda if if if", UCONN stealing Nova's inbound passes 3 out of 4 possessions (am I remembering correctly?) pretty much sunk whatever chance Nova had of pulling off the upset and on the road, no less. I do not see them letting that happen today on their home court. I'm nervous about our game today.

I am a buyer of MU +2.5. They have been the better team all season and I think they win by more than five. Sorry to the close game guys out there.

They will complain that MU should have rolled them, that MU gave up too much of the lead or something like that.

Under 144 is the play

I don't know. Nova is playing fast for them. 69.25 Possessions per game in their last 4. Which have been their best 4 games. Marquette is playing slower in conference play, but honestly they are just kind of just playing efficiently. I lean under the 144, but these are offensive teams. KP has it at 149. Bartovik at 150. The last game between MU and Nova was 156.

I'd stay away.

In their last four games, Nova is a top 40 team and nearly a top 30 team. Should be a close game.

I'd lean Nova in this game if I were a gambler (I'm not.  I'm a Christian).  That said, it's a plus Marquette gets them now in Philly versus later

Yep! I think they are better than their record indicates and will improve going forward, even if Moore does not return. I believe the absence of Gillespie has taken its toll, but they are starting to come together with their present squad and should not be underestimated.

We are all obviously hoping for a MU win (well.... probably not troll nolongerwarriors) but if Nova wins, I am not going to read too much into it.

I expect them to play with a lot of physicality today Scoop Snoop but we have the guys to handle it.  My concern is putting them on the line and if we can control the tempo.   If Oso can get his inside I think we will be in good shape.

Want the win, think Marquette is better overall.  Computers like Nova in a close one.  Anything less than a chance to win in the final 4 minutes would be a disappointing performance

Hope they can pull it out, but MU has only one once ever at the Pavilion (last year).

I agree Goose.  I also took the over 144 for this game.  Did a 4 bet parlay as well for MU +3, St John's to win at Seton Hall, MU/Nova over 144 and Virgina to win at Georgia Tech for +954.
