The Women's British Open may be the most entertaining tournament of the year.  Predicted winds of 40-60 miles per hour.  So bad that they are slowing the greens and pre-planning easier pin positions.

Glorious.

Rico went on a buddies golf trip to Michigan, and is taking a self chosen break from  scoop.   I would expect him back in a couple more weeks.

It feels like that course is getting obsolete for the men's game...

It may be.  But the R&A view it differently than the USGA.   The USGA views par as sacred.   The R&A sets up the course and lets the weather dictate outcomes.   If it is benign and Bryson shoots 25 under, them's the breaks.   If it is as it is supposed to be the next four days and nobody breaks par, cool.

Well yeah, I think the distances are perfect for women on that course. The men can just blow it past most of the hazards off the tee.

There hasn't been a winning score under -10 on that course since John Daly in 1995. I don't think that's just weather.

Exciting finish. Korda just couldn't execute down the stretch. She's probably pretty disappointed.

Awesome job by Lydia Ko.  A lot of people thought she would never get back to greatness.  She has serious skills and quiet power with a wicked wedge game.  I could see the floodgates opening, she's only 27.  Outstanding weight distribution in her swing.

Lydia is a great example of how hard it is in professional golf to keep top form year after year, even for the most talented.

Also, I would caution on the age thing. The career span on the LPGA looks nothing like the men's Tour.
