The Tour pulled in over two million viewers for a Sunday finish in a tournament that was billed as "second rate" since the big guys were playing at Seminole for a pro-am.

Bizarre thing to write that the Tour lacks ratings and star power.

I also think a player is much more likely to develop into a star on the PGA than LIV.

LIV.... where players on the tail end of their relevancy go to play.   Surprised Duffner and Fowler haven't joined.   Unless the talent pool increases, I wont' watch.  Norman is also an insufferable prick so between he and Phil, i'm almost rooting for the LIV downfall

CW Network pleased with LIV debut . CE Affiliates  who elected to carry The Broadcast were able to sell ads . Ratings are roughly equal to an FS1 Big East lower tier game.

Yep. When this all started, Greg Norman was dreaming of the day that they could get DePaul v. Butler-like ratings.

LIV had a relegation system this year similar to Soccer .

Well, it’s relegation if you don’t have a guranteed contract.

Sounds like the Saudi’s aren’t too happy with the returns on investment and lawsuit results.

this was kind of weird...while LSU player was putting a long putt, the opposing player walked thru her line after the ball had passed, but before it had finished rolling in which it went in. either the opposing player was ignorant of the "unwritten rule" or just downright rude.

   you make the call...

on another note, it's pretty cool darius rucker has a tournament named after him.  he's a great guy  and a pretty good golfer too

No Tiger in The Players. Too bad , we have tickets for The Final round . Was hoping to see a shootout with him and Rory down the stretch.

Dave Rasmussen was a great teacher and ahead of his time in the MKE area. Getting to see him was extremely tough and his fee was well beyond any local pro. I remember having to cancel an "appointment" on short notice and was charged and put on probation for further lessons. Sad to hear of his passing. I have some good memories of spending time with Dave.

Loss for the Wisconsin golf community

https://www.wisconsin.golf/19th_hole/gary_d_amato/swing-instructor-david-rasmussen-whose-students-comprised-a-whos-who-of-wisconsin-golf-dies-after/article_416e61f6-b9d6-11ed-8e75-eb541b25d6f0.html

I never knew much of Rasmussen when I was younger, but I remember my BIL saying, in one of our first convos, in the golf pro community, when it came to Wisconsin, everyone knew 2 names.  Manuel de la Torre and Dave Rasmussen.

Interesting interview with James Piot , former MSU Golfer who won US Amateur, and why he chose LIV.

https://www.golfdigest.com/story/journeys-james-piot-no-sponsors-liv-golf-michigan-state?utm_medium=email&utm_source=030423&utm_campaign=gdplus&utm_content=DM37154&uuid=85f898e378d547f4aa114b5572e1ddc5

Bit of an odd article. A lot of “I thinks” about specifics in the contract. He could have just said, “it’s nice to have a guaranteed paycheck right away.”
