Chris Kirk wins for the first time in 8-years, holding off Eric Cole, a 34 year-old rookie whose mother is Laura Baugh.

If you know the Kirk story, this is a great win.  Crowd into it despite the weak field.

Happy for Kirk. I was pulling for Cole because I was Laura Baugh was dream girl back in the day. I watched her for a couple of days at the Dinah Shore in the late ‘70’s. When I say watched, borderline stalker is better description.

Rico

I never stopped following her, and yes, her story is something else. I have promised myself I would get a golf lesson from her prior to her retiring. She was looking pretty damn good on TV today for being 67y.

Laura Baugh created a lot of interest in the woman’s tour back in the day. Is still a teaching pro

i'm familiar with the chris kirk story and it's a helluva testament to the Big Guy in the sky and the PGA to allow him to get better and return to a great game.  the win also gave him a ticket into the masters-double bonus!!

Went to the golf expo today in Rosemont. Kinda interesting, actually lots of great deals on clubs, just no place to hit them.

LIV continues to push the idea that fans care how much money these guys are playing for. Sports fans don't care. I continue to be stunned by just how terrible the LIV product is and my expectations for LIV were basement-level to start with.

I agree on the size of purse and LIV sucks. I love golf and put it on several times this weekend and turned it off within minutes both times. I do not understand why they believe the purse size will add to the excitement. Not that I care, but the constant money/purse hype could be a turn off for some fans.

Think I saw that the LIV ratings for the weekend were like 0.1

Many of the CW affiliates in major markets - Chicago, Philadelphia, Atlanta, San Francisco, Tampa, Seattle, Detroit and Pittsburgh included - aren't even showing it.

If anything, the obscenity of the money turns people off.  Guys are getting guaranteed money and playing for whatever the purses are.

The appeal of the “matches” was never Tiger and FIGJAM playing for whatever dollars, but the golf matchup.

They think team golf is a drawing point, too.  It simply isn’t and certainly won’t be if the teams keep changing.

Come on, it’s Hermie.

In last month alone he posted:

Suzanne Summers
Creighton cheerleaders
Laura Baugh
Paulina
Dick Van Dykes young wife

Like that for years, Playboy bunnies, cheerleaders, Gilligan Island woman, etc.

Gross.  Necrophilia.  He's dead.

i have a feeling both are going to suffer in their own ways-

LIV for lack of ratings because the fans won't feel the competive juice

PGA for lack of ratings/no real star power to relate to, no real magnate to draw people in

conclusion-seth waugh and jay monahan are going to have to hold their noses and maybe a few other appendages and get together with stormin norman and figure something out for the good of the game

Rocket

I believe that the PGA will bury Liv before they need to come together. I believe Liv will ultimately cave from within when Uber rich stars get tired of the format. At this moment, there really is nothing appealing to me coming from Liv and I will watch any golf on TV.

The Tour pulled in over two million viewers for a Sunday finish in a tournament that was billed as "second rate" since the big guys were playing at Seminole for a pro-am.

Bizarre thing to write that the Tour lacks ratings and star power.
