The new MU students couldn't care less about this game except for how it hurts or helps their NCAA chances.  There is no rivalry anymore.  I don't even think ND has a rival in basketball. MU has Wisconsin and that's about it.  Maybe DePaul.  Conference realignment has ruined some of the fun of college basketball IMO.

I agree.  It was fun.  Hopefully they keep playing year after year.  The students would learn to despise them again in a hurry with a few good games. There is benefit to both schools in my opinion. Hell at least MU travels well and can help fill their stadium every other year. 

And Chili, I agree, ND sucks.

We live in town.  My kids have zero interest staying here to go to school as well.  Somewhere between 10-20 kids from their high school go to ND every year.  There is a path.  They just don't want to walk down it.

Ha!  Not too bad Dr. B.  Never thought I'd like it but the low cost of living is incredible combined with the proximity to major cities.  The amount of property you can get out here for relatively cheap is incredible.  Been here 15 years and haven't looked back.  Well run state.

Oh, I thought you were saying Digger put ND through something awful. And maybe he did. But this article about him being a crappy broadcaster and dope while with ESPN mentions nothing of the sort.

I'm not trying to play gotcha, chili. I seriously don't have any inside info on what Digger did or didn't put ND through. If it's juicy, though, I'd sure like to hear it.

IMO the ND Rivalry has been killed by NIL and the Portal.  It's nowhere near what it used to be before kids were too busy doing ads for burger places or transferring to Pitt, Cuse, UNC or Duke.

Al's guys never did ads for money and they never transferred to ACC schools.  And that's why we hated Digger more then.

The NIL has ruined everything. And the Portal.  And NIL.
