Good game.  Too bad we ran out of gas at the end of the game.  Sign of a young team.  It will get better as roles become more defined.  Need 1 or 2 more players to step up during the course of this year.

Having said that, I don't care if he is or is not injured, Wrightsil is a big miss.  You bring in a player for one year, the expectation is that they produce and produce right away.  Even without an injury, I can't say Wrightsil was going to be an impact player.  Huge miss by Shaka.  He needed to identify and secure an impact player that would have been the one to help close games like this one out with a big win and help this young team grow.

I mean, how can you fully judge a player's success after three games  - when he is injured???  Maybe we can wait a little bit longer before we declare someone to be "a big miss."

Exactly. Better to declare someone a miss after 1-2 games.

This. We’ve had some pretty decent transfers here in the last 15 years. Most of them were well behind the curve initially.

All the games matter, of course, but the 2 Ft. Myers games and UW-Madison are HUGE swing games for the season.

Gotta win em if we want to make it to the dance.

Mississippi State is probably the most difficult of the 3 but that crop of teams may be a group we are battling with on the bubble. Gotta separate early!

Need to beat a mediocre Madison team at home, obviously.
