Exactly --- the article is nowhere near as bad as the headline but Gundy is up there with Dabo about complaining about NIL and the Portal.

I have a hard time listening to coaches complain bc they have prospered more than any group* in CFB with the TV rights explosion.

EDIT: *and construction companies that were building athletic facilities

He actually had a pretty good year at Oregon State last year.  But that was a soft environment with low expectations.  Surprised he came back to the ACC to be honest.  He would have been better served anywhere out West.

The worst thing that ever happened to him was playing awesome the 2 starts that Lawrence was out when he was a freshman.  Set him up with insane expectations following a consensus #1 pick in Lawrence and a 2 time Manning award winner in Watson

Given his recruiting profile (5 star, #2 overall player in his class per 247), the expectations probably would have been insane regardless, but yeah, that ND game didn't lower them any.
I think his OSU stats are a little misleading. Overall, his numbers - 21 TDs vs 7 INTs and a 145 passer rating are respectable. But against Utah, Washington and Oregon, he had 2 TDs vs 4 INTs and a 106.8 rating.

Yeah he is what he is at this point. Good, but not great. Pinning any sort of national championship aspirations around building a passing attack around him is probably not a good idea.

FSU's defensive line getting pushed around was a larger problem. GT has done a good job with their OL, but it's hardly elite.

From Yahoo Sports:

43 of the 68 power conference teams are projected to start transfer QBs this week — a stunning 63% clip that shows how transient college football has become.

‌And get this: Of those 43 projected starters, 30 are in their first year at their new school.

Excellent win for The Heels over Gophers. Gophers need new kicker.

The announcers were calling him a "made for the NFL kicker" on the prior FG.   And the goofy play call to right hash for a left footed kicker was quite PJ'esque stupid...

The bloom on the PJ Fleck rose is certainly fading.

That being said, he has the highest winning percentage of any Gopher coach since a guy named Bernie Bierman.

I forgot that CFB decided it was necessary to implement the 2 minute warning.  We will see countless more errors in clock management this season given that addition.

Pat Shurmur is a still a doofus.  Some seriously questionable play calling.

CU will be nothing if not entertaining again.  They won't be a playoff contender, but they won't be as bad as people hope they are.  They have a top 3 QB in college and an absolute unicorn in Hunter.  They'll average 30+ points a game but they can't stop anybody either.  They will be like Kingsbury's TTU teams.  I think they are probably 4-1 going into the KSU game which could get ugly.

A month from now at UCF will be fun, thats go 100+ points written all over it.

No no no....  They very distinctly call it the "two minute timeout."

Oh duh.  My bad, very different, far more pivotal and impactful.

Their lines look bad. 3 of 4 on the road next. You're right they will score some points, but that's not a unique feature in the Big 12.

6-6??

Sanders is very good and Hunter - WOW. Extremely physical wideout/corner. With great hands. My only "but"? He routinely pushes off to get open. They call that in the NFL.
