This ranks so high on my caring scale that I had to Google Jordan Hudson.  Oh, her.

Snip, snap. Snip, snap.

Cunningham will probably be at Michigan State in a few months. Why not go out with a bang?

I didn't realize that they had the same arrangement as Alvarez and Bo

My understanding is both Bo and Barry enjoyed the massages of the same masseuse.

Is MSU that much of a better job than UNC?  I know Cunningham is from Michigan originally, but he's not an MSU alum and spent no real career time there.  He makes more than the current MSU AD.  I would think UNC is a more comfortable spot than MSU post Izzo.

Not sure about that. The Hubert Davis extension and the BB hire could really look poor in a couple years. Plus I think the B10 is going to give any athletic director more resources.

BB is a big question mark, but I think they have no issue getting out of the Davis deal after this year if he struggles again and I think if both UNC and MSU are open, UNC is the more attractive BB job.

Resources is a legit argument but I feel like UNC would still be in the driver seat in all further conference expansion/change discussions.  But YMMV

Feels like MJ would be able to contribute pretty significantly to buying out Davis if needed. Just make up some imagined slight for MJ and he will pony up.

Also I thought it was reported that Bubba was largely sitting on the sidelines for the BB hire. It was a Trustee and a couple boosters who did the work. And maybe he just doesn't want to be part of that.

UNC could be a B10 school in a few years.

So the 62 year old AD, who was basically forced to hire a football coach he didn't want but has to deal with the fallout, should not leave because UNC might be in the B10 eventually?

Just saying UNC could very well have the same B10 resources you referenced.

MSU's new president came from UNC and the future of the ACC will remain in question for a few more years.  That BTN money dwarfs anything UNC will get from ESPN

The Belichick thing has become such a mess that UNC has hired former Bulls, Blackhawks and Bears PR guy Brandon Faber to a new position that's, basically, in charge of trying to prevent silliness before it happens and/or damage-control it after it does happen.

I know Faber well, and he's as respected a pro as there is in sports communications. He's got his work cut out for him!

The Athletic rated the top college football players of the 2000s. The top 4:

1. Cam Newton ... 2. Reggie Bush ... 3. Ndamukong Suh ... 4. Joe Burrow.

It's easy to see gripes on behalf of Bush, but no one swept through this sport like Cam. He remains the best athlete I've ever seen play, pummeling linebackers and running away from speedy cornerbacks with the same gusto. Auburn was meh before he got there, went undefeated, and was awful after he left. He is singular.

The top 2 teams:

1. 2001 Miami ... 2. 2019 LSU

I didn't enjoy watching him play as much as many, and the cult of personality around him was beyond insufferable, but not having Tebow in the top 3 is insane.  Newton and Bush I get. But Suh had one awesome season.  Burrow was also a one season wonder.  Tebow was one of the top few players in CFB for 3 straight years.

Tebow the college player was incredible.

I was actually looking up details of Tebow's career to see if I missed something. I was surprised to see Burrow above him. I could only think people thought the surrounding talent propped him up more than others.

I mean, Burrow had arguably the best receiving core in college football history outside the recent Ohio State rosters, so that argument would be poor.

I for sure think they got it right with #1.

I am pretty sure they got #2 right as well - there are some good arguments there for others, but in the end that LSU team was incredibly good.
