Time flies.   Nichelle Nichols.  89.
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

Good on her for sticking with Star Trek even when she wanted to quit due to a bunch of racist bullying BS. Credit to Dr. King for urging her to keep at it. She made a big difference in a lot of lives.

She has said that in the first season that the execs were withholding her fan mail and cutting her lines. Here is her telling the interesting part of the story about the weekend she tried to quit. A wonderful story about Gene and MLK: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSq_UIuxba8

For you fellow Trekies out there, I'd just like to note Strange New Worlds is an a amazing show.  You get the background of Uhura.

I'll second that. I like it better than Discovery and Discovery is not bad. The production of those shows is just outstanding.
