In a German fable, Ostara (the ancient Germanic goddess of the Spring) transformed a bird into a hare. The hare responded by laying colored eggs for her festival celebrating the arrival of Spring.

Best of luck finding all of the eggs you've hidden, folks!

Have some patience, FFS.
