need some help with the problem of creating something from nothing.  If God exists clearly the created universe didn't come from nothing it came from Him.  IF God is eternal, infinite, incorporeal and transcendent  the universe is "in" Him.  If there is no God, how can the universe bootstrap itself into existence?  If virtual particles appear in a quantum field they didn't appear from nothing, they appeared from the quantum field.  where do self causing quantum fields come from?

Aristotle realized that there had to be a beginning of any series of events outside the events themselves.  If you want to roll with the big bang theory you need to account for that which preceded it.if nothing we know of in the universe has as its nature to exist, the question remains what existed before the big bang to start with?  Aristotle denied the possibility of infinite regress.

Aristotle wasn't smart enough to get into UW-Madison.

I mean, if there has to be "a beginning of any series of events outside the events themselves," how does God exist?

I blame Rico.

An alternate identity just to mess with our heads. I need a gummy so I can get into some deeper thinking.

That left many unanswered questions, such as ...

Was the Big Bang merely the product of post-Arby's gastric distress?
