In Minny watching the women's Final Four.  Discussing with friends and family:  would any of these teams beat the winner of the boys high school state champs (pick your state, Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Michigan, Indiana).  Highest level.  ??

From a major state?  No.

From a small state like Wyoming or North Dakota?  Possibly.

Yea at a certain point it's just size and speed/athleticism.  Look at Glenbard West.  They have Huff who is 6'11 and going to Gonzaga and Pierce who is a 6'6 wing going to Princeton.  Nobody on UConn or USC has a prayer of staying with them or guarding them.

The random YMCA heroes who are out of shape and claim they could beat top college or WNBA players are idiots.  But for fairly high level HS players, it's not particularly close

Long ago when I was at MU the womens team would occasionally come to Helfaer together in the off-season and play pick-up ball.  Their rule was, if they won the first game with a regular ball, then they could continue playing with a women's ball.  Back then, the women's team wasn't great but wasn't bad, and the pickup games on the middle court were usually very high quality.  Nevertheless I recall playing quite a few games with the women's ball, which means they won a few.
