Iconic coach announces before start of season that he will be stepping down at the end of the season. Makes the NCAA Tournament with what is admittedly not his strongest team among many strong teams in a storied career. Wins National Championship in last game he will ever coach.

Hell, this has been OUR story for 45 years. It is part of the lore that is/was Marquette basketball. I don't want to cede it to Duke.

Self is one of the biggest cheaters in college hoops.

Obviously it's ant Nova to win but after that I'd much rather see Duke win over North Carolina and Kansas and it's not even particularly close.

Yeah, until Kansas is punished there's nobody I'd like to see win less than them. Self made a video wearing a gold chain with a giant money symbol right after they were named for infractions. He was literally telling the NCAA, "you're not going to do anything about it." And he's right.

My only real purpose in rooting against Duke is to preserve the Marquette legacy of McGuire winning a National Championship as he rides off into the coaching sunset. That's OUR narrative.

You understand that if K walks off the court next Monday night with "One Shining Moment" playing in the background, ESPN will likely lobby to have April 4 declared a national holiday every year, right??

I'm ok with Hubert Davis...and minus one stretch of ejections and bs calls...UNC has been 20+ points better than everyone they played.  Made me feel good to see them do to Baylor what they did to MU.

The Moore injury sucks...Nova had a really good thing going. Hate Kansas...hate Duke.
