Purdue is not a team I would like to match-up with if we're lucky enough to win. In the rd of 64.

Of the likely top 8 seeds who would we have a puncher's chance against?  Baylor?

Hard to believe A&M didn't punch their ticket today. Amazing coaching job by Buzz.
Hard to believe they're still in the mix at this point

I really don't know what to make of either UK  or Tennessee. I've thought that way all year

Ivey reminds me of a mix between Donovan Mitchell and D wade. He is going to be a star in the NBA. Athletic, smart, unselfish,  unless he needs to take over.

A one game sample size isn't great.  His defensive box plus/minus for the season is worse than Greg Elliott's.  That's not a good thing.  Ivey is a bad defender on a bad defensive team.

That'll be Purdue's undoing in the tournament.  The offense is championship good, the defense is upset causing over the first weekend

Plus minus is probably the least useful stat in college basketball. I've watched Purdue play quite a bit this year. Ivey is a good on ball defender.

But dont take my word for it

"What does this mean? Box Plus/Minus is good at measuring offense and solid overall, but the defensive numbers in particular should not be considered definitive. Look at the defensive values as a guide, but don't hesitate to discount them when a player is well known as a good or bad defender"

Love seeing teams who are so insistent on deliberate offense and not taking shots early in the clock absolutely freeze up and crumble in late game situations cause they are used to second guessing every shot.  SDSU just looked like a HS team on the cusp of a state tourney berth and choked

This. MSU, Ohio State and Purdue don't defend well. Purdue is absolutely lethal on offense though

This PAC-12 title game is very enjoyable.

That two final 4 teams.

If MU wins an 8/9 match up and has to face Arizona it would be lights out in a hurry.  The Cats are on another level.

They have the Gonzaga combination of size and skill.  Two teams I would not want to face.

Arizona is scary.  Especially if Kriisa is healthy.

They looked just as scary against a Final Four caliber team tonight without him.  They have athletes all over the floor and no team can put a double digit run together faster than this one.  I have a feeling the drought out west is coming to an end.  The left coast has produced three champions in the last 45 years - UNLV, UCLA and Arizona.  I am betting on the west in 2022 to get its fourth in 46 years.

Koloko is kind of a badass.  I was hoping Kur could play like that.  :(

Koloko is indubitably the better player.  Unfortunately, no Marquette big man possesses the skill around the basket to be of concern for the opposition.  The two MU bigs flash to the free throw line, receive a pass and immediately look to get the ball to a teammate as if they are holding a live grenade.  We need someone next year to be a threat from 15 feet and in so the defense has to actually defend five guys.

True dat.  I'm also sick of getting abused and pushed around inside.

Koloko was a 3-star recruit btw.

Maybe Buzz should have spent more time working a game plan instead of self-promoting

Typical Buzz - the show is all about him.  He's already being named as a candidate for the LSU opening.  Will the peripatetic Buzz be on the move again?
