Best wings are on 63rd and Western at Garfuna Flava

Reggie's are damn good though.
Deep track going with Garfuna! Have passed it hundreds of times, never had them. Born and raised on the southwest side in Beverly. 63rd st isnt for wing tourists.

It's like the absolute best shandies/spritzes you've ever had, complex, acidic. Knocks my socks off. I think they have a tasting room, but if you're from WI maybe just stash a 12 pack in your car for the drive home.

Boxing took me to some less than touristy neighborhoods in my life.

Would 100% recommend trying them, though the bones have a tendency to break because of how slowly they're cooked.
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

Didn't know they were down there! I really loved the Pinot Noir sour I had at one of my neighborhood bars. Really great stuff--I am hoping the bar gets the sav blanc sour on tap for spring/summer.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Marquette used to run buses down to Rosemont for alumni and students. That seems to have fallen by the wayside at the Winnie.

Wintrust is significantly farther from campus than Rosemont, plus the buses have to negotiate downtown Chicago traffic.  Per Google Maps, that increases the round trip by close to two hours.

Have some patience, FFS.

Took the Marquette Bus in 2020 right before covid. Believe Covid might be the reason for no bus this time but not sure. Drove down from Milwaukee in 2019 for the MU DP game and for the TBT games was not bad.

Yes!!

Well, if DePaul doesn't like the large number of Marquette fans who show up at the WinTrust, this won't help matters.
Have some patience, FFS.

But they only employ one server.

I can't find the details, but the $2 beers end early. Like an hour before tip or something.

They ended this afternoon.

Plan to be there. Non Marquette daughter has apt at Michigan and Roosevelt. Plan to be at hotel for pregame and got tickets directly from DePaul. Lower level corner near MU bench.
We've laid an egg in this game several times over recent years at Rosemont and I think here. Looking for a decisive if not commanding win but we HAVE to win this one for our own self-respect.... Can't relax.
Looking to enjoy the game and MU win.

How is the parking situation? Easy to get out afterwards? Worth looking at spothero?

Use ParkWhiz or Spot Hero to find some parking a few blocks away.  Easy Peasy.
Have some patience, FFS.
