Can't give up that fear and control. Tough to do when its been such an effective strategy, hey?

Yeah, I wish Fox News would quit brainwashing geriatrics

You're right, because the average American actually watches or cares about the SOTU.

FWIW, the federal public transport mask mandate still exists.  But yes, go on about hypocrisy and timing.

The average American doesn't give a rip about 537 geriatrics engaging in covid theater.

So why did you do it?

Maybe the dopes you hang with don’t care about the SOTU, but I guess my crew is above average. I haven’t missed one in more the 50 years.

Last nights ranked pretty low on the list.

Why?

Last night sounded more like a convention nomination speech than an actual SOTU.

But when you have no accomplishments of note, you gotta talk about something

Lenny

Regardless of who the President is, I have never missed a SOTU address. There have been well over a dozen times I have been in Asia, and I still never missed the SOTU. To me, it is one of my favorite nights of the year. That said, last night was not one for the records books and I nodded off several times.

They're literally all like this.  Imagine listening to any of these things and expecting anything of substance.

You old guys have bad memories.

Maybe it was the squinting at the teleprompter, butchering words (do trump next), chuck and Nancy standing at the wrong time, etc.

And if I'm old, so are you kin.

I guess when you're used to listening to the President of the United States repeatedly praising Putin, dumping on our allies, and endlessly trying to glorify and enrich himself, all while reading the teleprompter at a 3rd-grade level, a "normal" SOTU address by a regular-guy president who actually cares about Americans can seem pretty boring.

I mean, I am old, but you're older.  If only a few years (what is it, five?).

I don't have the old man mentality, though.

Ahh yes the old “if you criticize this admin, I’ll bring up Trump cause you must love him” despite neither of the other two ever vocally supporting him even though they sit on the opposite side of the aisle to you.

Mike, It’s ok to say Biden is disappointing or less than ideal in some areas without it being an implicit endorsement of your favorite boogeyman. Hard as that is to process.

Ahh yes the old pretend to take no sides without criticizing the folks who changed the subject to the SOTU.

Wags, I have said many times that Biden has had plenty of eff-ups. Thank goodness one of them isn't hero worship of a murderous dictator who would love nothing more than to wipe America off the face of the earth.

How 'bout that Covid and those masks though, eh? IBTL x2.
